We're on a mission to make our energy system smart, flexible and more sustainable.

Piclo is on a mission to make our energy system smart, flexible and more sustainable.

The energy industry has entered a new era. Supply and demand are decentralising fast; energy companies are starting to embrace renewables and looking for new ways to reduce costs, increase efficiency and build a smarter grid. That’s where Piclo comes in.

Our flagship product, Piclo Flex, is an industry first - it’s the leading online marketplace for flexible energy trading in the UK, and a frontrunner in a sector that’s poised to transform smart energy technology.

The Piclo team is led by founders James Johnston, Andy Kilner and Alice Tyler. Our chairman is Volker Beckers, former CEO of NPower. To date, we’ve raised £1m of innovation grants and £1.4m of angel investment, including from Ian Marchant, former CEO of SSE.

We have a bright, modern office in Old Street/Shoreditch (EC2A) and offer a range of benefits including a generous holiday policy, a 35-hour week and a £500 budget (per annum) for every member of staff to buy custom items for their workstation or invest in professional development.
