Insurami is a tech-first insurance platform entering the market with a novel product. They have recently closed their seed round last fall. Their first product provides an alternative for office spaces to traditional security deposits. Using their product, office spaces can instantly vet new tenants from a credit risk perspective and issue a financial guarantee instead of a security deposit. This product provides tenants with a vastly less capital intensive way to secure an office space but keeping landlords protected against bankruptcy and damages. Accurately predicting the risk of tenants is a really hard problem and Insurami is a pioneer in this field. They have great early traction with some of the largest estates in the United Kingdom and have signed their first customers. Currently, landlords hold £25B as security deposits for office spaces. Insurami believes that this is an outdated practice and seek to change it for the better. The founders met at Entrepreneur First a seed-stage incubator in London, backed by Reid Hoffman founder of Linkedin. Majed their CEO has helped build fintech, lending, and credit rating businesses throughout his career. Arnor their CTO is a seasoned engineer that has built his own start-up before this in eGaming.
