Who we are
Founded in 2012, Capital on Tap is on a mission to help small businesses thrive. To date, our platform has provided more than £400 million to over 40,000 businesses across the UK. That’s good enough to be named one of the fastest growing companies in the UK – Number 48 on the Sunday Times TechTrack 100.

What makes us different?
We view ourselves as a technology company first, we just happen to be in finance. We have built a dynamic and vibrant culture where our employee’s opportunities for growth are as big as their ambitions. We also try not to take ourselves too seriously so we make sure our office is decked out with a pool table, shuffleboard, arcade machine, beer tap, and couple office dogs thrown in for good measure.

Location and Culture
We are currently based near to Moorgate, Old Street and Liverpool Street stations, right in the heart of the city. We work in a fantastic open-plan office with a dynamic, relaxed and fun culture complete with pool table, 2 office dogs and we even have our own branded beer! We work in a highly collaborative agile environment where everyone is looking to innovate.

Our Product
Capital on Tap provides small businesses in the UK instant credit decisions with immediate access to their entire credit facility. Our customers can use their credit facility to spend on their Business MasterCard or transfer the funds to their high street bank account.

What's Next
In the second half of 2018, we will be launching our iOS and Android apps, integrating with accounting partners and introducing more exciting features to our premium accounts. Also worth mentioning - we are looking to expand into Europe before the end of 2018 (that's why we need to hire some more great people!).

Interview Process
The interview process can vary by role, but generally our approach is a short telephone interview, followed by a technical chat and then a pair-programming exercise (small tip if you reach this stage : TDD is very important to us!).We realise that the best candidates sometimes find it difficult to take time off to interview, so we are more than happy to interview before 9am, after 6pm or even on weekends!
