Salary:  £28,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience

About the role

Akoova is currently recruiting for a Marketing Executive whose primary focus will be to create and deliver a range of engaging and impactful content (such as LinkedIn posts, insightful blogs, effective sales collateral, newsletters, case studies and focused web pages) in order to establish genuine connections between us and our audience. The successful candidate will also thrive on supporting our Account Based Marketing strategy with collaborative research techniques.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marketer who is interested in using their flair for creative content writing and all-round marketing skills within a growing customer-centric company that uses a bespoke and genuine approach in connecting with its clients.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

Overall ownership of content creation:

  • Use initiative to understand our positioning, industry, competitors, etc. and, as a result, develop engaging and effective content ideas, in line with the company’s strategic objectives and direction.

  • Create high-quality content across a variety of platforms and formats, aligned to our branding, each with a clearly defined purpose in mind.

  • Coordinating the provision of all related elements of content, including graphics / videos / animation, call-to-actions and citation permissions.

  • Content types will range from thought-leadership posts on LinkedIn, varied and purposeful social posts across multiple platforms, insightful blogs, effective sales collateral, newsletters, case studies, and focused web pages.

  • Monitoring the performance of social posts and reporting these to the Marketing Manager and other relevant stakeholders.

Account Based Marketing research:

  • In line with our Account Based Marketing (ABM) strategy, work in close collaboration with our Head of Sales to identify and define key target accounts / prospects through a range of creative research techniques. To better understand ABM, you may wish to watch this summary video.

  • Regularly update the Marketing Manager and other stakeholders with research outcomes to ensure alignment across our Marketing & Sales functions.

Supporting our Marketing Manager:

  • Supporting our Marketing Manager on a variety of tasks across the marketing functio, including (but not limited to) organising events (online and in-person), rolling out email shots, sourcing suppliers, and logging leads in the CRM.

About you

  • You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of content writing (ideally in a B2B environment)

  • You have a passion for attention to detail and a flexible approach to adapting your writing style according to the content’s purpose and media

  • You understand the importance of creating effective content and / or strategies that help engage and attract a target market, including building a narrative around a subject matter.

  • You have excellent written communication skills

  • You are inquisitive, with a passion to learn. You enjoy challenging old and current practices, whilst also striving to develop strategies to make a company stand out.

  • You are interested in (or thrive in) working within a start-up environment.

  • You have strong organisational skills and thrive in working to deadlines.

  • Account Based Marketing experience (or experience of researching, identifying and defining key B2B clients/accounts) would be desirable but is not essential.

  • Graphic design experience in a marketing role would be desirable but is not essential
