Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 basic salary per annum + up to 20% bonus paid quarterly

About the role

The successful candidate will be someone with a passion for creating connections and a flair for sales. They will help educate online retailers about what they should expect from their website hosting partner, Akoova and drive sales towards bringing Akoova to the next level of growth.

Someone who can put the prospect at ease and talk about their needs and at the same time can work out whether they are a fit for Akoova. Someone who will keep the connections they make and leave a trail of people who are delighted to engage with Akoova in the future even if they are not currently a fit.

Some other key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Playing a key part in the definition, evolution and management of Akoova’s sales operations.

  • Driving active engagement, relationship building and opportunity creation.

  • Utilising a variety of tools to perform research into key target accounts and potential prospects.

  • Building out accounts and leads on the CRM.

  • Updating the Head of Sales regarding pipeline opportunities.

  • Reporting and analysing sales data

  • Continuously develop your knowledge and understanding of the Adobe/Magento ecommerce industry, the climate and Akoova’s positioning in the market

About You:

Essential

  • At least three years experience in sales (solution selling experience useful).

  • Proficient and confident using LinkedIn and Sales Navigator.

  • B2B experience in the technology space

  • Experience using CRMs.

  • Understand how to map out complex/matrixed organisations and stakeholders.

  • Great communication skills: a storyteller and a flair for creating compelling emails.

  • A very positive mindset.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Consistency and good follow up.

  • Proficient in MS Powerpoint and Excel.

  • You will have a bias for action.

  • Your values include empathy, resilience and respect for all.

  • Willingness to travel to meet with prospects, trade shows or other similar company events.

Desirable

  • Experience in the eCommerce/retail industry

  • An appreciation for Lean Thinking and/or Lean Startup

  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with spreadsheets and metrics

  • Ability to work independently but know when to ask for help

  • Experience working with agency partners

This may then be followed by a Zoom interview (2nd stage) with our Head of Sales. The 3rd/final stage will involve meeting with our Founder/CEO and Head of Sales to ensure a mutual fit.
