Hosting companies frustrated us - that's why we built one. Focussing a single application makes us more like a SaaS Operations team - we want to be the best at one thing, not "just okay" at a bunch of things.
We build our platform with AWS, Chef, Terraform, Python. We don't like to reinvent the wheel, and we use SaaS where it helps (including SumoLogic, NewRelic, Datadog, Cloudhealth, Lacework).
Our focus is hosting ecommerce sites using Magento (tech stack: PHP, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ). Our clients build them, then trust us to keep them scaled and secure in AWS. We work closely with their developers to make that happen.
Supreme online brands such as END. Clothing, Fred Perry, Byredo, Diptyque Paris, Brewdog, Big Bus Tours, Selco, In The Style and O’Neills choose Akoova to run their Magento online stores on the cloud.
Everything we do revolves around Magento, solving our clients’ problems, and preventing them from occurring in the first place.
Akoova has a proud history with eCommerce; its founders are credited with developing one of the first eCommerce SaaS platforms - Venda. They’ve also experienced first-hand the problems faced by high-growth retailers. This knowledge and expertise has been used to devise and deploy the solutions and services that keep our clients’ eCommerce sites running like clockwork, 24/7.
In the before times, we were based in London. We are now a remote-first business, and that's not going to change. We keep a small office in London South Bank for those who want to use it, and look forward to occasional in-person meet-ups when it's sensible.
We will supply the equipment you need to do your job well. By default, that's a MacBook Pro, iPhone, Kindle, and whatever accessories you need. That includes a chair and desk, if you do not have a healthy working environment at home.
25 days annual leave, in addition to UK bank holidays.
We offer excellent private medical insurance.
